While I’m generally suspicious of natural supplements that claim to cure acne, I’m also well aware of how nutrition can affect the health of your skin. Some nutrients have well-known benefits for the skin and if you’re not getting enough from your diet, supplements can be a great way to make these additions.
Vitamin D – This nutrient helps clear acne by stimulating the production of cathelicidin and defensins. These peptides support the immune system in fighting off acne-causing bacteria.
