On-Flight Tips for Keeping Your Skin Clear
I’ve been waiting for this a long time after the world events held us back for 3 years and now, I finally get to travel to Hungary to spend some time with my family and friends.
Nothing excites me more than spending 2 weeks in my beautiful country and enjoying all the good things I used to take for granted when I was living here such as the beautiful weather, the crispy clean air, delicious food, the beauty of nature and lots of family time.
But before I go into full relaxation mode, I wanted to share with you my best travel tips for keeping your skin clear while traveling.
Before Travel:
– Buy a little travel bottle set from Target and transfer your PoreInfusion cleansers and toners to make it carry on safe. All other serums, moisturizers, and SPF in all under the allowed ounce limit so you can pack the original bottles.
– If you are traveling longer than a couple of days, make sure to bring a brand-new unopened bottle of all your PoreInfusion serums and moisturizers and SPF. Because the products are sealed you don’t have to worry about leakage, plus you won’t run out of your products.
– Always pack your skin care in your carry-on bag. Nowadays luggage get lost or delayed all the time so make sure keep your most precious items in your carry-on.
– Skip any exfoliating products (like Mandelic serum) on the morning of your flight and focus on hydration and sun protection.
During Flight:
– If you are taking an overnight flight, fully remove your makeup after dinner is served and apply lots of hydrating and moisturizing products on your skin. The dry recycled air on the airplane will deplete your skin in moisture and cause extra sensitivity. Over your moisturizer apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or balm that will create a protective barrier on your skin and prevent dehydration.
– Drink lots of water and avoid alcohol which can also dehydrate your skin.
– Reapply your SPF before landing the UV rays are much stronger in high altitudes and nothing damages the skin more than UV exposure.
After flight:
– Cleanse your skin with a gentle cream cleanser like the PoreInfusion Silk Rinse and apply a hydrating regenerating sheet mask or Oxygen mask to refreshen your complexion.
– Get a good night’s sleep after arrival. Traveling and dealing with jet lag is exhausting so take your time to catch up on sleep and let your body readjust for the new environment. They don’t call it beauty sleep for nothing’.
